					<description>My husband had a surgery on his GI system a few years ago (before I met him) and the nurses wouldn't let him take *anything* by mouth until they were certain that his surgery had fixed the problem. After a few days of this he finally cajoled a nurse into giving him ice chips. His friend told me that there was a look of supreme happiness on his face. I can imagine that had it been fruit he would have been moved to tears as well.
