Thank you Karen for your comment. I am afraid I'm still learning to ask for blessings, but you are right in that He waits for the requests, beyond that so much is in the Lord's timing. I can't push for what I want, but when I listen and obey when it comes I have learned to not doubt over time. It is not a lesson I have down perfectly but one I work on all the time, to trust in God at all times.

I have to say that being part of this blog has been a joy for me. I have really looked for something uplifting that can help me in my journey. I have been so grateful for Naiah's insight, inspiration and guidance that makes APoF what it is designed to be.

I like this post! Not too long ago I was taught that Heavenly Father had many blessings for each of us if we would just ask him. It was a new thought for me. He is just waiting for me to ask. Not that this means that I will get everything I want, but that He wants to bless me, has many things to bless me with. But he is waiting for me. It has changed how I think about prayer, and what I need and want. Just like I want to give my children things that they want as well as need, So does Heavenly Father want to give to us. And just as we cannot give our children everything, He cannot give us everything. But he can give me more than I ever thought of asking him before.

I really appreciate your thoughts and the scripture. Time to look it up and mark it in mine!

An added note, I really enjoy the Prayer of faith blog. I always feel uplifted when I am done reading here. Lots of spiritual food for thought!

Thank you Michele, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Naiah, I'm glad it was something that could help. I have been hesitant in the past to share this because it was not received so well by someone I thought it would help. I have always tried to learn from others experiences that when mine can help someone else I feel that I have given back just a bit.

Miss Sarah, I hope I expressed the change I had at the time. As you said it really was profound. I have been a completely different person since that time.

Thanks for this insight - so subtle that I missed its profundity the first time through:
"I think I became a much happier and contented person which helped my trials that arrived shortly after this experience."
Gonna be mulling that for awhile. Thanks

Wow.

Your words on that scripture touched my mind, and your words of testimony touched my heart.

Thank-you, sincerely. I needed to hear this.
