Okay, I'm back from vacation! (I went to CA, it was lovely!)

RoAnn, that's neat to hear about the GA. Sometimes it's hard to imagine how nervous and concerned they must be just because they look so calm all the time!

Michelle, It really does make both of them seem so much closer and more forgiving that we (I) sometimes think.

Bradley, it was my pleasure. :)

Starfoxy,

This was wonderful. I am so grateful you shared it with us! For me, that a-ha I had reading Michael Wilcox's book was similar. Being able to understand and feel God's love more changed my life completely.

The other thought that I had is that Elder Holland's talk really changes (or at least adds to) my perspective on the Savior. Somehow this talk seemed to make Them both feel more accessible to me.

Thanks for allowing us to how Elder Holland's remarks led you to a profound change in your life, Starfoxy.

I once heard a GA say, after he had given a talk in General Conference over which he had labored long in the Spirit, that if only one person hearing that talk was influenced for good, he would be happy. And I realized he was right. We are all so different in personality, and what opens one person's heart to important personal revelation may seem merely banal to someone else. But Our Father in Heaven does want us to feel His love for us, and He can work through any of us to communicate that love, if we let Him.

This experience fits well with the "Experiment" we are doing in opening our hearts to the love of God, doesn't it?

Eric, that is hilarious. I am very familiar with Dr. Hart, and was in one of his classes. He was one of my favorite professors. NAU has a very small scale so the professors know just about all of their students by name, and all the students know just about the whole faculty for their major. I almost joined his research group, and he would probably even remember me as the LDS girl that graduated last year and then had a baby. Very small world indeed.

Thank you for providing this. I had not noticed that last quote before, it's a great one.

From the small world department....My best friend from high school has been a physics professor at NAU for a few years now. Gus Hart ring a bell? You took a few physics courses didn't you?

Again, nice post.
