Thanks for your comments! I try to keep an eternal perspective in mind, but sometimes it's hard. I do know that the gospel brings us that all-important perspective and can help us live our lives. Thinking about those scriptures, and others, helps me see a pattern and I wanted to write about it to fix it more firmly in my own mind and also to share with others in hopes that it might be useful.

If there is one thing for which I am grateful, it is the perspective that the gospel gives us. I truly cannot fathom facing life without the knowledge of the purpose of life, of our eternal potential and worth, and of the blessings that trials can bring into our lives if and as we keep that eternal perspective and our eyes fixed on the Savior.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this ever-important topic.

This eternal perspective is so crucial to finding peace in the midst of our hectic mortal lives. I love how you brought together these particular four scriptures to clearly show modern revelation (Moses, Abraham & D&C) highlights the importance of trust in the Lord as the key element.

There may be many things we don't understand about God, His plan, and how it unfolds in our own lives. But if we trust in Him, and in his promises, we can move forward with faith, hope, and charity even during the times when we can't see our path clearly.

We can all get so caught up in the how that we sometimes lose sight of the what and the why. Thanks for the reminder, and yes, it does help.
